It's a toiletry bag, a vanity bag, a cosmetics travel bag. But we've even spied the odd Kempton & Co. friend sporting our shearling luxury makeup bag as a glam an iPhone pouch--even as a small clutch purse.

And why not? Its toggle is hand-carved of bone and horn, salvaged from cattle farms by our new artisan partners in Nairobi, Kenya. Very chic, a bit edgy--and ethical. The pouch is handmade in our Brooklyn workshop from USA shearling and leather.

We collaborate on the zipper toggles with Kenyan artisans; all work on them is done entirely by hand with simple tools and machinery, with locally sourced (in Kenya) materials. These up-cycled materials are used to generate income for small artisan groups working mostly in Kibera, one of Nairobi’s largest slums.
