THE INSPIRATION
Fiona Kempton, our designer was inspired to create macramé straps while on a flight with her daughter. The two passed time on a plane by creating handmade friendship bracelets together.
FROM MEXICO TO NYC...
Our macramé straps are made in Chiapas, Mexico by the local women who have turned their traditional handcraft into a blooming business that supports the local economy.
FINISHING TOUCHES
In our New York workshop, our local artisan adds the finishing touches to our handcrafted straps. Thoughtfully placed leather detail is sewn on with brass hardware clips which allow you to easily fasten these straps to your bag.
Due to these straps being individually handcrafted there may be natural variances which make these bag straps unique and individual.
Our straps are the perfect addition to refresh an older bag or give yourself options with a new one. They are available in many different colour combinations. Click here to see all our options!
TWO LENGTHS FOR DIFFERENT FITS
The Crossbody Bag Strap: Measured at approximately 45" this strap is the ideal length to drape across your body for a comfortable and casual look. We recommend this bag with our Mini Windbourne or Nottingham crossbody bags.
The Shoulder Bag Strap: Measured at approximately 34" this strap length is designed to be paired with our Canvas Crossbody bag or used as a shorter shoulder strap. See examples below.
