BEHIND THE SCENES: Kempton & Co. Fall 2018 Collection
Our Fall 2018 Photoshoot will never be forgotten by our creative director, Fiona. With a fresh start to the new year and a busy schedule in the upcoming weeks, Fiona was pressed for time to fit the January shoot in. Her vision for the photoshoot was clear… Fall by the countryside. Luckily, this location was easy to scout as we shot at Fiona’s garden in beautiful New York.
From the beginning, the odds were against our team… Constant winter warnings for the tri-state area, braving a cold winter snap with cashmere, and even flying our lovely model, Ioanna, on a non-canceled flight from Miami to New York.
With our fingers crossed in our leather gloves, we got lucky as Ioanna was able to arrive on time the morning of our shoot. Originally from Greece and residing in Miami, Ioanna was bracing the cold with a big smile and the occasional shiver. Though she despises the cold, there’s no way we couldn’t have the face of Kempton & Co. missing in action! As a longtime friend of Fiona, you’ve seen her in one profession, but this season we were able to show off her other talents.
Ioanna is a professional model and ping pong champion. Being a dual threat, Fiona thought capturing her ping pong skills in action would be a secret weapon to a great Fall 2018 look book. Ioanna was a true pro when it came to New York’s crazy winter weather. She captured Fiona’s vision in every shot. The photos turned out beautiful, but what you didn’t see? Hand and foot warmers tucked underneath leggings, inside boots, and even hidden in her hat!
With our new Fall 2018 Collection Fiona continued with her classic styles like the Mini Windbourne, Morleigh Foldover, and Devon Holdall. Although sticking with her classics she added two new styles, the Nottingham Crossbody and the Harford Crossbody. Both new styles have a hidden middle compartment which is great storage for your keys or mobile. Fiona has incorporated prints like cheetah, camo, and of course a winter necessity everyone needs, shearling! What will our Spring/Summer Collection bring? Only time will tell . . .
