When we have clients come into our Red Hook store, the biggest question we get is what else is there to do?
Though the list is exhaustive, we've given a short little tour to help you brainstorm what you can discover in our little part of South Brooklyn. Be sure to follow our list in order so that you get a perfect walking tour.
Take the NYC Ferry to Red Hook
In the summer of 2017, our cozy nook got a transportation upgrade. From Wall Street or Dumbo you can take the South Brooklyn Ferry Route to just a couple of blocks away from our store! So much quicker than taking the B61, and so much cheaper than taxis or Ubers ($2.75 each way, same as a metrocard swipe!).
Check out Pioneer Works
A former Iron Works factory building turned art gallery/cultural center, you won't see anything like the art and programs being orchestrated in the massive space. Check out their programs to see if you'd be interested in any upcoming events!
Indulge in our Store
Have you been eyeing our Postal collection but want to see how unique each bag truly is? Can't decide between the Morleigh foldover and Devon holdall? Let us show you why you'll become addicted to our brand, photos can't do our bags enough justice!
Fiona's curation of the collection is exemplified ten fold in our store, and you'll understand why we're the best place for Holiday shopping or a personal treat. Amongst it being the only place to view our entire collection, Fiona's chosen some additional brands (Jumper1234 , MJ Watson, Found My Animal, and more) that pair well with Kempton & Co. so you won't be leaving empty handed!
Did we mention, there are exclusive in-store sales every once in a while? Sometimes we announce them on social media, but you'll just have to come in and see for yourself!
Food at Fort Defiance
The good good in Red Hook is endless, trust us. We're just giving you the closest option from leaving our store, and it's literally across the street. You may be nervous about the windchill across Van Brunt Street, but the welcoming american-style food at Fort D pairing with a notable Irish Coffee (read: very notable) will give you a sense of community that is loved dearly.
A View of the Water...
Red Hook Winery
Wander down Van Dyke Street near the murals and cobblestone roads to the Red Hook Winery, you'll find good wine and a view of Lady Liberty, the namesake to Liberty Warehouse!
A Bikeride Home
Wherever you end up, the neighborhood's got plenty of Citi Bikes to get you to your train ride or ferry ride home.
